Robert Smith, 1987

Regular price $400.00

“Robert Smith was one of the scariest looking guys on the planet.”

In 1987, CREEM Magazine asked photographer Paul Natkin to shoot Robert Smith of the Cure. Given the band’s intense popularity — and Smith’s more intense look — Natkin feared the worst. “Man, this is going to be really tough,” he thought. Instead, Natkin was greeted by someone he describes as “probably the nicest person I ever met in my life.” Smith even made him tea.
