“A guy. His guitar. His intensity.”
Photographer Paul Natkin developed a special relationship with guitar icon Keith Richards. After joining Richards for his first solo tour, Natkin was invited to join the Rolling Stones for their 1989 Steel Wheels tour. Natkin is rightly proud of their relationship: “He trusted me.” This piercing moment from soundcheck exemplifies why and captures Keith’s essence.
